Time management

This plays a vital role in preparing for any type of examination, you have to be aware of certain factors like when the exam is. Think about how much disposable time you have to reasonably convert to study time and how much information you need to understand and get in your head. By this time, you have already learned which are the most effective methods for you to study and get through your material without forgetting it, be sure to use the correct study techniques which suit you. Set up time tables for yourself so you'll know what’s ahead before even getting started, this will greatly boost your confidence. Just make sure to give yourself enough time before the examination to get all the relevant preparation you need.

Prep Courses

There are various prep courses to follow when writing any exam. You have to ensure that you spend most of your time going through and mastering these prep courses. When an individual wants to start his medical studies, they will have to do a MCAT Exam, for which there are also many options of prep courses. A great idea would be to compare all of the available prep courses in order to find the one best suited to you. This will give you a great advantage going into the examination, as you won’t be confronted with anything you have not seen yet.

Keep yourself active

Even if you have the busiest of schedules and can’t fit in time for anything. Keeping yourself active will give your brain a huge advantage and much better odds of taking in all the necessary information. Dr. Ratey writes that exercise improves learning on three levels: "First, it optimizes your mind-set to improve alertness, attention, and motivation; second, it prepares and encourages nerve cells to bind to one another, which is the cellular basis for logging in new information; and third, it spurs the development of new nerve cells from stem cells in the hippocampus." So stop watching Netflix and get yourself active before starting your routine study time.

Everyone understands that prepping for an examination is a tedious and difficult time in our lives, but you have to believe in yourself and keep going. You also have to get a well-balanced diet and spend enough time with friends relaxing and giving your body a rest. So, don’t make it more difficult than it already is - complete the correct preparation course and ensure you are mentally and physically ready for your examination.
